I generally prefer showers, but my back has been bugging me all day so in the tub I go. I know some guys think baths aren’t very manly, but I’ve got a big glass of scotch (neat) to keep me company so I’m slowly becoming unable to care much about that. I do wish I had access to a hot tub instead, though.

This suggestion might be too late now, but try adding some Epsom salt to the bath water. It does wonders on sore, achey muscles.

No shame is taking a bath. I do it every friday night. Put on some smooth jazz, and grab a beer. 2 hours is gone.

And I am. I’ve spent a lot of time this week loading and unloading cargo vans, moving heavy boxes and lugging heavy tires around. I don’t mind the work, I’m just getting old and need more recovery time.

Next school year I have an RA room that is one of the 5 rooms on campus (out of the 2864 rooms on campus) that has a bathtub. Most rooms don’t even have their own bathroom.

I’m excited.

There are some inflatable hot tubs that are apparently pretty good quality for the price point. I'm seriously considering one once I fix everything else that's broken around here. I'll be sure to report back.

Having your own bathroom would probably be the best part. The bathtub is a bonus, though. I generally don’t like sharing facilities with guys. Is it just me, or do other guys not understand personal space? It irritates the crap out of me.

Last year I avoided the big bathrooms at all costs. I would always use the handicapped gender neutral shower on the girls side of the floor. You’d get some weird looks walking all the way back across the floor just in a towel, but it was worth it to have a completely private shower experience.

I was also in one of the newer dorms (built in 1968), so we had shower stalls, and not the open shower area like the dorm I’m an RA in next year. Sure am glad I have my own bathroom!

My older sister was always really into Miles Davis but I just didn’t get it back then. Now that I’m older, I find I’m more into him. I should have known; she has always been right about nearly every other type of music.

I love taking a bath. Also don't care if my daughter paints my toe nails. She has fun, and I get to have brightly painted toenails for a couple of weeks. I definitely don't take myself too seriously.

I don’t know how people manage to put up with public facilities all the time.

One day at the gym I had just finished showering after a workout and as I’m walking back to my locker, I notice the guy at the locker next to mine. I had seen him while I was working out and I can admit he was both VERY hot and he was my type; about 6'3 and 220, LOTS of muscle. I won’t lie, I checked him out a few times. Here’s the thing, though: when I’m at the gym it’s f’n business time. Sure there might be attractive guys there, but I already know they’re all straight (at least, they were at my gym) so it’s almost like they’re not even there, kinda like white noise. Anyway, I’m drying off and getting my stuff out of the locker when I close the door, turn to my right, and I see that this dude is not only completely naked but bent over facing the other way and he was seriously up on me. I don’t mean to be crass, but if he had taken even one step backward I would have had his butt print on my junk. And this is not an isolated thing; I’ve had similar experiences in virtually every gym I’ve belonged to.

The moral of the story: IT’S NOT CUTE. Back the fuck up, or I will put my foot on your ass and shove you headfirst into the lockers.
